Finding my 25th hour with Pomodoro

Hey, this is Sushil and I just had a major breakup after 3 long years of relationship on this Valentine’s Day. Ouchy! But hey, this super cool app here has occupied me since then and I barely had any time for all the melancholy. Read on and get to know something you have always wanted.

It was one normal work day in 2015 at the end of which the sun went down but it seemed to me as if I hadn’t achieved much. This led me to think and research on how I could manage my time better to let me know what I did. That’s when I found Pomodoro Technique and have since been using it for around 2 years now. I use it during my work hours to keep myself focused and to keep track of the productive hours. And at the end of the day, it feels just amazing to sit back and knock the tasks off your list one after another. The best part is that you can actually review your time expense on each of those tasks. I know, Pomodoro is the best!

I believe that self-organisation is the key to success and have figured out a way to use plain-text for self-organisation. This is a simple technique to use note on a daily basis with the date tag which also records the history. Every to-dos, tips and important aspects of your day is recorded on the daily note. I categorise the to-dos based on the companies I work for or under sushil10018 for my personal ones, you can customize as per your convenience.

As the list started getting longer, I felt the need of using paper notes to offer myself that pleasing sense of achievement by marking through the tasks done while highlighting the top priority tasks for the day. I also recorded the number of pomodoros taken which would help me analyze myself. At the end of the day, all I had to do is update the master note mentioned above based on the paper note and make it ready for the next day.

Since I like being conscious about my time, I started tracking the amount of time taken in daily basis for this kind of setup to organise myself. To my surprise, these actions took me around 2-3 pomodoros per day! Can you believe that?! I now know that self-organisation and time management take time.

So yeah, as I told you I just had a breakup and having some spare time I decided to dig deeper into Pomodoro. By now I have mastered at its functions which I am sharing with you. While walking through the internet I couldn’t find ways to be certified but I sure found this domain which would make me the Pomodoro Master of internet i.e.

And yes, you too can be a Pomodoro Master. All you need to do is subscribe to the mailing list here and I’ll let you know when the app is ready to be tested through to solve my problem mentioned above and yours too.

I envision Pomodoro Master as an application to combine time management with task management, lifting our productivity to the next level.

Stay tuned, and thanks for stopping by.
